![]() Honestly, I've not been so excited about a guitar in a long time. Easily as good as the most expensive, boutique brands out there (*cough*BareKnuckle*cough*). I've owned Carvins before - the pickups were terrible for anything more than lighter rock. Since this was done in conjunction with the owner of Carvin, Jeff Kiesel, these also got the new "Kiesel" pickups that are yet to be released. At this point, I want to use my fingers vs. In recent months Ive been working on classical-style technique with a Cordoba C9, nut width 2.04 inches. The neck is like butter and the finish is insane! The JTV-59+FTP is my second all-purpose guitar/MIDI converter. The neck is much more comfortable than the DC727 I used to own and overall, the quality is just completely top-notch. First impressions of the GP7X is its build quality is easily on-par with any other high end instrument I've owned. The Carvin S600 should be able to achieve a louder SPL with its 400 watts vs 130 watts for the Bose L1 Compact. Luckily Roland has produced a single box solution in the form of the GR-55. If you want to connect to a MIDI device e.g sound module, computer or keyboards, then youll need a guitar to MIDI interface, eg Roland GI-20. I'm EXTREMELY picky when it comes to 7 string guitars. The new Carvin S600 would likely sound similar to the Bose L1 Compact when the L1 Compact is used in its array-in-base configuration. The SH575 is synth access only so youll need an external sound source. The cleans on my Carvin are so good, comparable to PRS cleans, or Fender-ish cleans. If youre looking for diversity, Carvin beats ESP, no doubt. Top: AAAA Flamed Maple (matching headstock) w/ Purple Cali Burst SATIN finish (new for this run)įretboard: Kiesel Treated Purple Birdseye Maple, 20" Radius w/ Diamond Inlay 12th fret I got mine for 1500, but I know the store owner.
